About

At Jackson County Humane Society, our mission is clear: we are dedicated to providing hope and shelter to abandoned dogs in need. As a 501c3 non-profit animal shelter, we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of these furry companions who deserve a second chance at happiness.

We specialize in caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. Each of our four-legged friends has a unique story, often having faced challenges such as being strays, injured, or abandoned. Our team of compassionate professionals and volunteers work tirelessly to provide the care and attention these dogs deserve.

While our home is in Newport, we extend our reach to Tuckerman, Swifton, Jacksonport, Searcy, Conway, Jonesboro, Paragould, Bono, Walnut Ridge, Hot Springs, Wynne, Jacksonville, Campbell Station, Weldon, and the surrounding areas. We’re committed to enriching the lives of animals and people throughout our region.

We Provide

At the heart of our work is the belief that pets become family. We’re dedicated to creating joy by uniting pets and people, forging bonds that last a lifetime. When you adopt a rescue dog from Jackson County Humane Society, you’re not just welcoming a pet into your home – you’re giving a dog a chance at a loving home and companionship. We provide:

Veterinary Care

Our dogs receive top-notch veterinary care to address any medical needs they may have. From routine check-ups to specialized treatments, we prioritize their health and comfort.

Vaccinations

We keep our dogs up-to-date with essential vaccinations to safeguard their health and prevent the spread of diseases.

Spay & Neutering

We promote responsible pet ownership by offering low-cost spaying and neutering services. This helps control the pet population and contributes to the overall well-being of the dogs.
